Goodness gravy I didn't think I'd end up with a problem like this, but it's absolutely ridiculous and it's gotten to the point where I'm losing my muses and my drawing muse because of it.
So I've got a follower on my RP blog (who thankfully doesn't read this blog), who has been sending me questions and rping with me. Which would be fine right? That sounds nice.
Except for the fact that this person has sent me over 6 asks within the last 2 days.
2 Days.
This follower has been sending me TONS of asks and the like and sending me tons of suggestions for music for my playlist, some of which I can't use since I explained to him multiple times that I can't put it in the playlist for reasons I originally put down.
This has been going on for about 2 weeks now. Maybe more I've lost count.
It wasn't so bad initially, and then they just kept going and going.
Said follower also sent me an ask asking me why I wasn't answering his asks when I was dealing with some pretty serious irl things. That put a pretty bad taste in my mouth.
The final straw has been that this person also sent me an ask that had this tagged on the end of it (word for word): (Hey mun, wanna find someone to make a [fandom omitted] blog?)

This whole ordeal has put me off a little bit and I'm kinda tired of having to deal with this person.
I updated my rules and stuff though, so hopefully they'll have a look and slow it down.
Yeesh. I know I'm not the only one who's gotten this, but it just sucks when it does end up happening.

Sorry for the bout of negativity. I'm gonna go get back into powering through these drawings I have to do.

I saw your post on tumblr and your new rules and yeah, the same thing's been happening to me too?! yesterday I got AT LEAST eight questions across my blogs and I'm pretty sure they were from the same few people. I was getting kind of fed up with it myself, because lord knows I have enough questions to catch up on anyway.

It's really uncomfortable because some of them are kind of pushy in this here-let-me-rp-this-for-you way. I'm not sure if it's exactly the same anon pulling all of it, but having people take characters I've written (even ancillary ones like opa-opa) and write them for me feels rude as hell tbh.

I'm glad you posted about this, I'm glad to know it's not just me having this problem O_O);; I hope you'll be able to work through your irl stuff okay. In the holidays everything becomes more stressful, you need to take as much time as you need!

Dang really? Oh man that's really rough D:
Especially around this time of year you'd think people would think: "Hmm... this person seems to have a lot going on, maybe I should hold off on my questions for a little bit." Well, in the sense of constantly spamming questions. One or two is perfectly fine. Plus being an ask blog where I want to do art makes things a little harder :(
Geez, both of us have a lot to do huh. I've got 12 drafts lined up and about 7 in the inbox right now. I think more than half of those are from this person eek.

Right?? I don't know if you've ever played Project X Zone (which I suggest if you get the chance you should, it's a great game), but they were saying that they helped the main characters and stuff during endgame without being a character in the game, nor specifying that they were the person controlling? Or I dunno, it was very odd. That was also the ask they tacked on the "Hey wanna help me find RPers".
Is that called godmodding? Or is that a different thing? I'm still kinda new to some terms, but that's still pretty bad if they're trying to RP for you :( And that is really rude of them. It's sad that people end up updating rules because these sorts of things happen when they shouldn't.
Is the person who's been doing that to you an anon? Or are they an actual account? I find it a little odd that I haven't had any anon trouble, but I've had problems with this one person.

Tbh, I was wanting to do a Christmas event thing, but this person has been stressing me out and I can't seem to get onto drawing anything because of it. Which is really dumb. I had a great idea for it and everything.
Still gonna work on other Christmas gifts at least.

Oof, long comment, but this kind of thing really had been a damper on what should be an enjoyable experience :(
Yeah. It certainly feels nice to talk about it and be able to relate with others on their experience. I thankfully have a very close friend who RPs as well on Tumblr. They also went through a thing like that and she gave me a lot of good pointers.
And you too! I hope you stay happy and healthy through the holidays :). Holidays in theory are supposed to be relaxing but... yeah, it never seems to end up that way :\

Yeah I def agree! It can get overwhelming very quickly. (I have so many questions I've held off on answering because I want to do art for them.) I really like your art, but if you decide you need to cut your losses and just post something (or do a quick sketch instead of a full image), just remember that it's okay and nobody will think less of you for it :^) I try to remember that, for our personal projects, the only limits we're bound by are the ones we set ourselves!

The person bugging me is an anon, though they must have an account because there's an ignore option on their asks. I posted earlier asking them to ease up on the questions, so hopefully I won't have to ignore them!

God modding (or "god mode-ing") is when someone in an rp has godlike powers and controls too much, so it's in the same kind of sphere, yeah. I haven't really had a problem with people doing that, thankfully! In this case it feels more just like "Get your hands off my story! I'm writing this! You can't just butt in and do that!" which might be a little selfish of me, but I think if I start off writing a character, it's a bit rude to take control of them away from me, at least without discussing it first.

Ha ha.... I have fifteen drafts just for my bbros blog ( ;;´ ▽ ` ) I have so many, like, 100% or 90% completed storylines that I haven't gotten around to posting yet, either! I was hoping to do a big ol' Christmas event, but I would have had to plan and draft it way earlier in the month! I did come up with a short story for bonanza-brothers that'll be posted tomorrow, though...I hope people like it!

And hey, don't worry about talking about it! I'm more than happy to listen and share my experiences--it helps me a lot too. It sounds as if things are pretty rough for you right now...I really hope they ease up soon. If you ever need any advice for anything, let me know and I'll be happy to help, okay?
